Single Batch—[double batch in brackets]

1/2 sticks (3/4 cup) BUTTER [3 sticks] Melt the butter being sure not to scorch. Add the milk and sugar. Adjust the heat to medium and cook for five minutes, stirring constantly. Increase heat to medium high and continue stirring until mixture comes to a rolling boil. Boil exactly 1 1/2 minutes, stirring continuously. Remove from heat and add chips. Stir until chips are completely melted. Add marshmallow cream and stir until totally blended. Add extract and pour into a buttered 9X12 cake pan. Allow to cool. Will keep in a cool place for up to 4 weeks. May be frozen. See varieties!
